Outlook Web App save passwords

I realized my company’s Outlook Web App never saved my password. It’s quite annoying when you log in multiple times a day. After a short research I discovered why. The log in page has this little tag in the form when you view source:

autocomplete=”off”

Obviously this is done for security reasons so you can’t really call your system administrator to get rid of this for you. You’re going to have to deal with this on your end. Our solution here requires you to use the Firefox browser. There’s a Firefox add on called Greasemonkey which lets you customize websites on your end to your liking.

So without further ado lets start with instructions.

Step 1. Install Greasemonkey.

Step 2. Now find a script to turn autocomplete to “on” for all websites. You can find it userscripts.org. I picked the first one that came up. It is called “Force AutoComplete Always on”.

Step 3. Install the script you picked.

You’re done. Now after you log in to check your work email Firefox should ask you if you want save your password for Outlook Web App.

Got a better solution? Please let me know.
